Denver college teacher killed in two-car crash

Yvonne Frye, aged 62, died when her car was hit at full force about 2 a.m. today at the intersection of East 14^th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. The driver of the other car suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and reckless driving, according to a Denver Post report.

Frye was a loved and generous teacher at Denver's Community College for thirty-nine years. Her sudden loss is a terrible blow to her family and friends, but also to all the students and college personnel who have known her and come to be touched by her kindness and intelligence.

Attorney Robert J. Anderson sends his warmest sympathy to Yvonne Frye's family and numerous friends, faced with the terrible injustice and tragedy of her loss.

It is certainly an injustice when a good person's life is ended by the irresponsible behavior of another person turning lethal at the wheel of a car.
