This morning, shortly after 4 a.m., a man was seriously injured when his car hit a light pole on Vollmer Road, north of Shoup Road, according to a report by Colorado Connection. The man was brought to a hospital in a Flight for Life helicopter. There are as yet no further details available.
The four orange-painted Flight for Life helicopters are fully equipped to perform as flying critical care units. They mostly respond to road accident or mountain rescue calls, and are based at four hospitals: St. Anthony Central in Denver, St. Anthony Summit in Frisco, Penrose-St. Francis in Colorado Springs and St. Mary Corwin in Pueblo.
